UMB Garage

Due to safety issues, the UMass Boston underground garage has been closed for more than a decade. While until 2020 access was still allowed in reinforced corridors, it is currently completely off limits to the public. For several years immediately preceding the pandemic, I used to enjoy my wanderings in the dusty, creepy underground space. I loved the urban decay, the “old” and unusual things I saw, and the interesting geometry created by all of the pipes and pillars.
